WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The Appalachin Regional Commission (ARC) is prioritizing funding for projects that support workers in recovery, particularly those who are recovering from opioid addiction. Potential projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Retaining workers in recovery
  • Training employers on best practices
  • Training people in recovery to learn skills in demand by our regional employers

Why this is important?

“Focusing on the importance of community health for residents will help the competitiveness and prosperity of local businesses...Healthy local economies attract talent, improve workforce productivity, increase employer net profits and boost business development, which can be tipping points toward economic vitality and equitable prosperity.”

- Barbara Ann Heegan (Otsego County Chamber President and CEO)
